We meet older adults where they are with their heterogeneous profiles by taking into account chronic conditions, injuries, pain, and physical ability.

Software Engineer (Full-Stack)
We’re hiring a product-minded Software Engineer to help us design and build web interfaces, backend services, integrations, and infrastructure.
We’re hiring a consumer-centric and data-driven Product Lead to own roadmapping for our consumer experience.
Our team is based within the greater New York City region and we meet at our production studio in DUMBO: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays with team lunches on Wednesdays. Mondays/Fridays are optional for remote-work with one flexible remote week a month.
We ask questions, we seek to understand, and we assume good intent amongst our colleagues. We go the extra mile to put ourselves in the shoes of our Balanced members to understand how we can best deliver a best-in-class experience.
We strive to work smarter, not harder. We are ****data-driven to hold ourselves accountable to be effective. We are relentless in pursuing our goals and we are always raising the bar, which requires embracing change and innovation.
We encourage each other to share early and often to allow for collaboration and feedback. We must constantly ship to learn. As Voltaire said, "Perfect is the enemy of good."
We are iterative, both in terms of product and personal development. We value professional and personal experimentation for growth. With experimentation, we are able to test > learn > and iterate.
“The Team, the team, the team.” As the proverb goes, "If you want to go quickly, go alone. If you want to go far, go together." With collaboration**,** respect**,** and trust ****we can achieve greater heights together.
We've noticed that "unlimited" vacation cultures often race to a bottom where no one takes any vacation at all. Our intent is to make sure everyone feels comfortable taking as much time off as they need, with a minimum of 15 days per year.
We offer commuter benefits, company-sponsored lunches on Wednesdays, and late night dinner stipends + covered transportation home.
We offer an ongoing incentive of $100/month (or $1200/year) to be used towards products or services in the health/wellness/fitness space that bridge the gap between personal development and R&D.
